Julius Jones

Former NFL Running Back

Julius Jones is a former NFL running back. He played college football at Notre dame and was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys with the 43rd pick of the 2004 NFL Draft. He also played for the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints. Julius has over 5,000 NFL career rushing yards and 22 Touchdowns. He made the NFL All-Rookie Team (2004), Ed Block Courage Award Recipient, 2 Time NFL FedEx Player of the Week, played College Football at Notre Dame where he holds the following records: Single Game Rushing Record, three 200-Yard Rushing Performances in a Single Season ,Career Kickoff Return Yards and all-purpose yards. He also won 2 Virginia State Football Championships. In 2006 he and his brother Thomas became the 1st family duo to both rush for 1,000 yards in the same season.


Jones was born in Big Stone Gap Virginia, a town of only 5,000 people. His mother, Betty, worked the graveyard shift in a Virginia Coal Mine for nearly 20 years while raising seven children. His mother and father’s work ethic instilled a drive and ambition in Julius that resonates and shows to this day. Julius owns multiple business’ and is a partner at Ballers Training Facility where he trains future athletes and coaches their nationally ranked 7 vs. 7 team.
